School was fine. Had girly moments with my friend during math as we were watching 2 guys play guitar/piano and sing in youtube videos. The one guy had an Australian accent! <3333
Had reading team, which was awesome!
Came home and got the cutest text from one of my best guy friends! "Hey, lovely." and that inspired me to write again! New story idea! :D I base my stories off of people I know, so what I tend to like to do is, say if I was to base a character off of my friend Emily. Then that character's name would start with "E". Same as hers. But yeah, anyone want to see part of it? ;D I may follow what my one friend did. Write a story kinda based on your life, just using different character names, and add in some different details and information and dialogue.
But here it is:
As she got through her front door, she checked her phone and saw she had a text from her friend Isaac.
“Hey, lovely.” He wrote.
Her heart sped up and she felt a blush creeping up her face.
“Hey yourself. J” she texted back smiling.
“Haha how are you?” came the quick reply.
“Great now(: You?”
She smiled, staring down at the phone in her hands. Conversations like this made her feel loved! Especially if the person on the other end of it was her best guy friend!
He warned her he might fall asleep, since his track team just finished practice. Since it started, she hasn’t gotten to talk to him as much as she’d like. Then again… she never felt like she could talk to him enough. He stopped texting soon after. She guessed he fell asleep and went to do some housework.
In the middle of dinner, her phone buzzed in her pocket. She tried to restrain from grabbing it and seeing if it was Isaac. Right after she finished eating, she whipped the phone out. Sure enough, it was him saying “Some friend I am… I fell asleep.”
She could tell he was upset with himself for the abrupt end to their conversation, but she assured him that she understood. And she truly did. Secretly, she thought it was cute that he fell asleep while in a conversation because it showed that he didn’t want it to end.
They’ve taken up to calling each other brother and sister (or “bro” and “sis” for short) and she’s often joked with her friend A___ at school about it.
“Next time he says that, why don’t you tell him “that only works in *state*”
“Hahahaha I get it!” she’s said back to her friend, laughing, not really considering that.

At *Camp*
Strumming her guitar absent-mindedly in the cabin where she was staying, *name* thought about the things her and every other high school student would get the chance to do here!
Her roommate, *name* was reading a book on her bed.
Jerking herself out of her thoughts, *phone ring tone* blasted from her phone. She forgot her phone was on its highest volume.
“Hello?” she answered without looking at the caller ID.
“Hey what’re you up to?” It was Isaac.
Smiling, she said, “Just playing guitar.”
“Hmm… want to take a break for a bit?”
“Hmm… Why? What else would I do?” she said playfully.
“You could come with me and go for a walk.”
*Girl name*’s heart skipped a beat at the thought of being alone with him. “Sure, I suppose I could come. Where are you at?”
“I can walk down to the girls’ cabins. You can play guitar for a few more minutes.”
“Let me know when you’re outside.”
“Alright. See ya in a few.” He hung up.
He said she could play guitar more, but what she did was get up and go to the shared bathroom between each two cabins. She brushed her hair and re-applied her makeup.
Not soon enough, a text came through telling her that he was outside. *Girl name* went out and he smiled as he saw her spot him.
“Hey there.” He said, matching her pace as they started walking.
“Hi.” She looked at him, and could feel the joy shown in her eyes.
Shortly down the trail they walked along the pond, *girl* got a call from her best friend.
“Hey you,” she answered, planning on ending the conversation quickly. Her friend would understand. She knows how *girl* feels towards Isaac.
“No way!!! Seriously?! You need to come over right now!!”
Isaac walked silently beside *girl* and heard her half of the conversation.
“My best friend is coming to visit for a few minutes! She’s crossing through here on her way home from vacation! Would you mind if we-“
“No, no, not at all. I’d love to meet her.” Isaac cut her off.
They walked a few more minutes, their arms brushing slightly at times when they got closer to each other. *Girl* couldn’t remember being happier than right now in that moment. She wondered what her friend was thinking when he looked at her, or when their swinging arms touched. Not having time to wonder more, *girl* heard a car door close.
“*Best friend’s name*!!!!” she yelled, running towards the road. Isaac trailed slowly behind watching the scene as the two girls embraced each other, laughing. *Girl’s name* linked arms with her best friend and they skipped up the hill towards Isaac.
“This is *best friend*,” she looked to her friend, “and this,” she said motioning to Isaac, “is Isaac.” She turned toward her friend again for a second, and *best friend* smiled. Isaac didn’t know what the silent gesture was about. “Girls…” he thought, shaking his head, smiling.
It was time for the friends to part again, and the girls hugged for a long time and whispered to each other. “It won’t be this long again, text me as soon as you can.” *Girl’s name* said, teary-eyed.
“I’ll text you as soon as we drive away.” Her friend answered, her own eyes full of tears. She laughed to try and ease the tension of the moment.
*Best friend* got back into her family’s car and they drove off, *Girl* waving, never looking away until the car faded into the distance. She sighed and turned hung her head.
Isaac walked slowly toward her and put his arm around her shoulders. Saying nothing, he gently led her back to their trail they had yet to finish.
*Girl’s name* sniffed quietly, and swiped away a few stray tears that somehow managed to escape her.
Isaac’s grip on her tightened at the motion of her hand going toward her eyes. *Girl* was grateful for the comfortable silence that they fell into. She didn’t feel at all embarrassed to be with him this way. She finally looked up at him, and couldn’t quite smile a full smile.
Isaac stopped, grabbed her shoulders, looked into her eyes, then pulled her into a close hug. *Girl* felt better after that. “Thanks.” She mumbled. Her heart started racing all over again.
She resisted the urge to snuggle closer as yet another gust of wind threatened to blow the two apart. Looking at [girl], [guy]’s eyes danced as he feigned being blown over by the wind. [Girl] was suddenly conscious of how much colder she felt as [boy] released her.
The next day [boy] noticed [girl] strumming her favorite guitar while sitting on the steps outside the girls dormitory. She didn’t appear to notice him yet, so he crept over and knelt down beside his friend. She looked up, startled, and smiled at him.
“Watcha up to babe?” he asked her, playfully. “Writing me a song?”
“Oh yes, of course,” she replied, winking at him.
[Boy] sat there watching her pick through a few chord voicings. “Yeah, I lost it.” She said aloud to herself. Then looking at [boy], “It’s your fault you know,” she accused.
“Oh, I’m sorry… I’ll leave you to write.” He got up to leave.
“Nooo!” she put her arms out to pull him back. “It’s gone now and I won’t remember for awhile anyway. I wasn’t having much progress anyhow. I’m glad you came by.” All traces of teasing fled from her eyes in those final words.
A few more minutes, and they ended the call. *Girl* really wasn’t sure anymore if she wanted to meet up with *guy*. She pulled out her phone to shoot him a text saying she didn’t feel well, which wasn’t a lie. She felt like crap. But before she could get the message ready, he was standing in front of her.
“Hey, what held you up?” he smiled down at her, a teasing look in his eyes.
“Oh, umm, sorry…” she managed to say, while her eyes burned with unshed tears. “I was just about to text you… I’m not feeling the greatest right now…so…”
“Hey… you look upset, not sick. What you need is to talk about it, not wallow away in your dorm room.”
He took her arm and started leading her away. Sitting on a group of rocks by one of the buildings, he helped her sit down and watched her closely.
Starting to feel uncomfortable, she shifted slightly and tried to think of some way to tell him she was fine. She just needed to go take a nap.
“So, tell me. What is it that has you so upset?”
“I… well…. “ she looked up into his eyes and felt her defenses slip down.
His voice was softer now. “You can tell me” he said. After another minute he also commented, “Your eyes are red.”
*Girl* just nodded and look down, away from his eyes, which were so full of pity for her.
He silently put his hand over top of hers and seemed to understand she needed to think.
She thought to herself. This guy, whom I barely know, is sitting here listening to me, better than some of my friends back home. Without turning her head, she looked at where their hands touched and noticed how much darker his skin tone was than hers. Not that it bothered her. If she were being honest with herself, she hardly noticed. She just saw the kind-hearted man that he was, who cared enough to make sure she would be okay.
The text read, “Hey.”
“Hey? Really?” Ok, so that’s not a terrible way to start a conversation, but he probably has something else he wants to express his disgust about. Always complaining about his sucky life, or about her not caring enough. Honestly?!?! Why did he have to pick her to talk to about this? She had to admit, she does kind of feel sorry for him, having not many friends, always the quiet, socially awkward boy who stands in the corner.
Texting back a simple “Hey”, she threw the phone on the bed and picked up a book. A few pages later, the phone rang again. Another text.
Sighing, she placed her bookmark in to mark the page then opened the phone.
“What’s up?”
“Not much” she sent, purposefully not asking him the question back, praying he’d take the hint.
He didn’t.
“Sounds boring.”
“YOU’RE BORING!” she wanted to shout back. But all she said was, “Yes it is.”
“You should do something about that.”
“Maybe I like my boring life.” She typed.
Geez that guy really gets on her nerves sometimes. She didn’t understand why. Her best friends could have sent the exact same message and she would have laughed about it. Okay, that's it. haha and my font magically changed... O.o
Half watching American Idol. Isaiah had to stop texting to do more homework! :( I'm glad we got to talk for as long as we did. He's enthusiastic about me possibly getting to go to Momentum! (: I like that! ;D
Time to try and finish my book soon tonight so I can start reading for reading team!
